    Unhappy Scan Loop

Please Help - I hooked up a harddrive from an XP computer to mine so that I coud check for Malware/Virus etc. I right clicked the drive and scanned with Spybot the process seemed to take a while so I cancelled it and diconnected the drive switched off my PC. Later I swithched my PC back-on and Spybot scan in now looping on shell32.dll and will not stop. I have uninstalled and re-installed, uninstalling made the problem worse any ideas please - with thanks

Are you using Spybot-SD's right-click file scanner feature?
You should cancel it because you can expect it to take several days, even weeks. This is because the right-click scanning feature is meant for single files only, not scanning whole drives.
