Description:
DeusCleaner claims to be a tool meant to fix bugs. If it is installed on the computer it detects some "bugs" which are not really existent. The user won`t get any description on those "bugs" and if he/she wants to fix them he/she has to purchase a license.
Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Shortcuts named "Deus Cleaner.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe".

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "Deus Cleaner Home Page.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe*".
  • Items named "Deus Cleaner Online Manual.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe*".
  • Items named "Deus Cleaner Online Support.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe*".
  • Items named "Deus Cleaner.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe*".
  • Items named "Register Now!.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe*".
  • Items named "Uninstall Deus Cleaner.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\unins000.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "Deus Cleaner" and pointing to ""<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\*.exe"*".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If DeusCleaner uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Deus Cleaner".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\config".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner\Languages".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Deus Cleaner".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If DeusCleaner uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "Deus Cleaner" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "Deus Cleaner" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
  • Delete the registry key "{F3175B35-99CE-4297-A7E1-292562DD7AF3}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Deus Cleaner", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "Deus Cleaner" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SDmodul.Secure Delete with Deus Cleaner", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "Deus Cleaner" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
If DeusCleaner uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
