LocusSoftware.BestsellerAntivirus claims to be a antivirus solution. When it is installed it finds hundreds of dangerous spyware problems that could only be fixed by purchasing a license. LocusSoftware.BestsellerAntivirus is the same application as LocusSoftware.SecurePCCleaner and is in close relation to Vario.AntiVirus.
Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
• Shortcuts named "BestsellerAntivirus.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\pgs.exe". • Shortcuts named "BestsellerAntivirus.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\*.exe".

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
• Items named "BestsellerAntivirus.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\pgs.exe". • Items named "BestsellerAntivirus.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\*.exe".
• Items named "Contact Customer Support.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\Graphics\Support.url". • Items named "Uninstall BestsellerAntivirus.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\unins000.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
• Entries named "BestsellerAntivirus" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\pgs.exe*". • Entries named "BestsellerAntivirus" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\BestsellerAntivirus\*.exe*".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "BestsellerAntivirus" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
If LocusSoftware.BestsellerAntivirus uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
