Connects in background to the internet and posts data without any user consent or display about that on screen. This malware also adds itself to the system directory and to the system start. The company name is also inconsistent. The uninstall function is missing. The MicroBillingSystem malware is capable of taking the computer hostage and impair usage of the computer.

Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "mbsmon32" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\mbsmon32.exe".
  • Entries named "mbssm32" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\*.exe".
  • Entries named "mbsmon32" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\mbsmon32.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\My Sex World.ico".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\Sexxxpassport.ico".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If MicroBillingSystem uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "{32C57299-0969-44EB-9430-B9581A2EBC78}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{03A1C2D7-7C55-4249-AE94-6A1D0BF30916}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{B3F57865-9034-483D-92D3-6DA16E0670E6}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{66DC2223-B839-4E7B-A11D-62D7770FABCE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "UBSauthenticateAXC.UBSauthenticate", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "{32C57299-0969-44EB-9430-B9581A2EBC78}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
  • Delete the registry key "{D2FAC024-92C0-42E5-A75B-7B4E3915CC50}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{CAAB67D2-63B6-424C-87AC-0F5CC17A1208}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
If MicroBillingSystem uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
