If MySpyProtector is installed on the computer it will find a lot of malware (that does not really exist) which only can be removed by purchasing a licence.
Removal Instructions:

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "MySpyProtector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\MySpyProtector\MySpyProtector.exe".
  • Items named "MySpyProtector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\MySpyProtector\*.exe".
  • Items named "Uninstall MySpyProtector" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\MySpyProtector\unins000.exe".
  • Items named "My Spy Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My Spy Protector\MySpyProtector.exe".
  • Items named "My Spy Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My Spy Protector\*.exe".
  • Items named "Uninstall My Spy Protector" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My Spy Protector\unins000.exe".
  • Items named "My-Spy-Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My-Spy-Protector\My-Spy-Protector.exe".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

  • Quicklaunch symbols named "MySpyProtector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\MySpyProtector\*.exe".
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "My Spy Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My Spy Protector\My Spy Protector.exe".
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "My Spy Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My Spy Protector\*.exe".
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "My-Spy-Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My-Spy-Protector\My-Spy-Protector.exe".

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\My-Spy-Protector".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If MySpyProtector uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "MySpyProtector" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "My Spy Protector" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "My-Spy-Protector" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
If MySpyProtector uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
