The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "SecureMyPC" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
SecureMyPC claims to be an antispyware solution. When it is installed on the computer it finds some harmless entries as high risk problems and the user has to purchase a license to solve this non existing problems.

Removal Instructions:

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "PC Scanner.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\PC Scanner.exe".
  • Items named "Real-Time Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Real-Time Protector.exe".
  • Items named "Uninstall.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Uninstall.exe".
  • Items named "Registry Cleaning & Repair.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\RegDefragmenter.exe".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "PC Scanner.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\PC Scanner.exe".
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "Real-Time Protector.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Real-Time Protector.exe".
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "Registry Cleaning & Repair.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\RegDefragmenter.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "Real-Time Protector 2.0" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Real_Time Protector.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Config.xml".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\defs.cfp".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\ignore.dat".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\INSTALL.LOG".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\install.sss".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\PackageUpdater.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\paths.dat".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\PC Scanner.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Real-Time Protector.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\RegDefragmenter.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Registrator.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\remover.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\settings.ini".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Uninstall.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SecureMyPC uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\SecureMYpc".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\SecureMYpc\Registry Cleaning & Repair".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Quarantine".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SecureMYpc\Scan logs".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SecureMyPC uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "Secure My PC" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "{63DE3DBE-09F1-567C-09F1-567C09F1567C}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
If SecureMyPC uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
