search & destroy was "hijacked"!!

My home page was hijacked by httpd.apache.org ....and when I regained my home page by editing browsers in spy blaster I can no longer activate s&d!!
I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same consequence. Still can't activate s&d!! Is there a patch for my dilema?? Can you do a remote scan??
I can't run windows xp pro in safe mode either, won't activate

In spy blaster ...tools ...there is a list of browsers used. I edited the unfamiliar ones and recovered Inter Explorer again. But can't run windows xp pro in safe mode or acxtivate s&d

By your description it would appear that by editing the browsers in SpywareBlaster (without addressing the malware) the hijack only appeared to be resolved and now you have other problems.
