Description:
Haxdoor.DVB03a installs services and autorun entries to be loaded on every windows start up. It hides some files from the windows API. Hence these files are invisible to the user. It downloads further malware from the internet. ADDITIONAL REMOVING INSTRUCTIONS: Please reboot windows in safe mode and scan again with Spybot - Search & Destroy to delete the remainings.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • A file with an unknown location named "country.exe".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\lps.dat".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\maskstt.a3d".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\redir2.a3d".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\qo.dll".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\dvb03a.dll".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\klo5.sys".
  • A file with an unknown location named "Conf.exe".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\lps.dat".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Haxdoor.DVB03a uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

  • Delete the registry key "dvb03a" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb03a" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb03a" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SafeBoot\Network\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\SafeBoot\Network\".
  • Delete the registry key "dvb06a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Control\SafeBoot\Network\".
  • Delete the registry key "drtw6a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\".
  • Delete the registry key "drtw6a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\".
  • Delete the registry key "drtw6a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\".
  • Delete the registry key "drtw6a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SafeBoot\Network\".
  • Delete the registry key "drtw6a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\SafeBoot\Network\".
  • Delete the registry key "drtw6a.sys" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Control\SafeBoot\Network\".
If Haxdoor.DVB03a uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
