Description:
Win32.Brontok hides in the system abusing legit Windows functions. It will search the system for email addresses in order to spread itself via internet. Win32.Brontok also disables Windows registry and administration tools in order to avoid to be detected/deleted. In addition to this it switches off the folder options, especially "show hidden files" (most of the files of the product are invisible). If the user tries to open one of its files Win32.Brontok will force a system restart in order to evade analysis. Win32.Brontok creates registry entries that allow it to restart at every system start.
