The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Win32.Rbot.aeu" manually.

Description:
This trojan is a backdoor program. It installs itself in the registry, creates autorun entries and allows others to access the computer.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "Svchost DLL svc Verifier" and pointing to "scvhost.exe".
  • Entries named "Microsoft Windows update 2005" and pointing to "scvhost.exe".
  • Entries named "Microsoft Windows update 2005" and pointing to "scvhost.exe".
  • Entries named "Client Server Runtime Process" and pointing to "cscss.exe".
  • Entries named "Windows LoL Layer" and pointing to "*.exe".
  • Entries named "Winsock Driver" and pointing to "scvhost.exe".

Important: There are more autorun entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\plscd.exe".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\cscss.exe".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\scvhost.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "plscd.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "plscd.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.Rbot.aeu uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Remove "cscss.exe" from registry value "Client Server Runtime Process" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "plscd.exe" from registry value "DRam prosessor" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "scvhost.exe" from registry value "Microsoft Update" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "scvhost.exe" from registry value "Svchost DLL svc Verifier" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "scvhost.exe" from registry value "Microsoft Windows update 2005" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "mirc.exe" from registry value "Windows Update" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "scvhost.exe" from registry value "Winsock Driver" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE\".
  • Remove "cscss.exe" from registry value "Client Server Runtime Process" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Remove "scvhost.exe" from registry value "Microsoft Windows update 2005" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Remove "scvhost.exe" from registry value "Winsock Driver" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Delete the registry value "taskm.exe" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Delete the registry value "DRam Processor" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Delete the registry value "DRam prosessor" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Delete the registry value "Svchost DLL svc Verifier" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
  • Delete the registry value "Windows LoL Layer" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\".
If Win32.Rbot.aeu uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
