actually the software is a toolbar, but it downloads , installs and runs other software without explicit user consent. Downloads are beeing done in background with no display, also searchsite is changed. Products beeing downloaded , installed and run by this trojanare: CnsMin, CnsMin.Zmod

there are variants installing without any user consent at all.

uninstallation is almost complete but does not restore the searchsite nor does it uninstall CnsMin

may be necessary to remove programmfolders manually

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\yisou\minib.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\yisou\yisou.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\yisou\yisoub.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\yisou\yisous.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\yisou\yisoub.dll".
  • A file with an unknown location named "yisou.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Yahoo.YiSouBar uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "YiSouBar.YiSouBarObj", plus associated values.
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "YiSouBar.YiSouBarObj.1", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "{0D69D7BC-85E1-45DF-AB10-2D989C561DC8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{315D2FFF-B909-4766-926E-F74FA879FB16}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{C43273A6-9085-41CF-8A84-3881363A7EB9}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".

  • Delete the registry key "{C45A4971-735F-4BC1-BB9B-7FD2B13FBBE2}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "YiSou" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry value "{115F6E46-FCBC-41ed-B3B5-3BDDD4AAB5E5}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\".
  • Delete the registry value "{BB936323-19FA-4521-BA29-ECA6A121BC78}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\".
  • Delete the registry value "{BB936323-19FA-4521-BA29-ECA6A121BC78}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks\".
  • Delete the registry key "Quick Search (Yisou.com)" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\".
  • Delete the registry key "YiSou" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
If Yahoo.YiSouBar uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
