Description:
"007 Spy Software" is a commercial program which empowers its user to spy a computer/another user. It logs any activities: visited websites, any keystrokes, files used, etc.. In addition it creates and saves screenshots of any activity. That way the user is heavily spied.

The program can be hidden and started by a user-defined hotkey.
Removal Instructions:

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "007 Keylogger Spy Software.lnk" and pointing to "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\svchost.exe".
  • Items named "Online Faq.lnk" and pointing to "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\faq.url".
  • Items named "Spy Software Online.lnk" and pointing to "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\website.url".
  • Items named "User Manual.lnk" and pointing to "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\help.chm".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "WinLiveUpdate" and pointing to "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\svchost.exe".
  • Entries named "Windows LSASS Service" and pointing to "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\svchost.exe".
  • Entries named "WinService32" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\System32\svchost.exe".
  • Entries named "WinService32" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\svchost.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\website.url".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\ssdata\lgstat.ini".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\svchost.exe".

  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\Sysmnt.dat".
  • A file with an unknown location named "svchost.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "007 Spy SoftWare SetUp.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If 007 Spy Software uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\007 Keylogger Spy Software".
  • The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\ssdata".
  • The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\Microsoft Shared\DAO\ssdata\scrdata".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\System32".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\System32\ssdata".
  • The directory at "<$SYSDIR>\ssdata".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\System32\ssdata\SnapShots".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "007 Keylogger Spy Software" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu\Programs\".
  • References to the file "<$SYSDIR>\ijl11pro.DLL" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\.
  • Delete the registry key "{92D590B4-A6B6-4841-9C47-CB8D86BFDED0}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{C793DC5A-4494-4C30-93B0-0784604871DC}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{56ACC949-E6EE-4BF7-AF56-0A44FEDE4B42}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "JasonButton.XPButton", plus associated values.
If 007 Spy Software uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

INI files:

The following .ini file entries may need corrections. You can open this files in Notepad or any other text editor.
  • Please remove entry "iniDisableAntiSpy" from section "Disable Anti-Spy" in file "<$WINDIR>\winhelp.ini".
  • Please remove entry "AutoHide" from section "Autostart" in file "<$WINDIR>\winhelp.ini".
  • Please remove entry "LoadonStartup" from section "Autostart" in file "<$WINDIR>\winhelp.ini".
