By downloading the Save! software, you give permission to WhenU.com to display relevant contextual information and offers. The Save! software selects which ads and offers to display to individual users based on several factors, including: URLs associated with web pages visited by the user, search terms typed by the user into search engines, HTML content of the web pages viewed by the user and the local zip code of the user.

Removal Instructions:

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Groups named "ClockSync".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries pointing to "ClockSync\Sync.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "ClockSync".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ClockSync\screen\dl_ad2.gif".

  • A file with an unknown location named "whenu.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ClockSync\screen\dl_ad.gif".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ClockSync\screen\index.htm".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WhenU.ClockSync uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "{E2F2B9D0-96B9-4B25-B90C-636ECB207D18}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{FC327B3F-377B-4CB7-8B61-27CD69816BC3}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{E2F2B9D0-96B9-4B25-B90C-636ECB207D18}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Code Store Database\Distribution Units\".
  • Delete the registry key "{FC327B3F-377B-4CB7-8B61-27CD69816BC3}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Code Store Database\Distribution Units\".
If WhenU.ClockSync uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
