Description:
Keylogger-Pro runs silently in the background of the operating system and tracks all keystrokes made by the user. So it is possible to spy on the user's surfing and working behaviour.
Removal Instructions:

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "End User License Agreement.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\eula.txt".
  • Items named "Keylogger Pro Users Guide.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\help.htm".
  • Items named "Keylogger Pro.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\klp32.exe".
  • Items named "Readme.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\Readme.txt".
  • Items named "Remove Keylogger Pro.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\uninstal.log".
  • Items named "Visit the Official Keylogger Pro Website.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\Visit the Official Keylogger Pro Website.url".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "1LiveUpdate" and pointing to "1LiveUpdate.exe".
  • Entries named "Trunk32App" and pointing to "Trunk32App.exe".
  • Entries named "KL" and pointing to "KL.EXE".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "Keylogger Pro".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\kp32\scheduler.dat".
  • The file at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\kp32\users.dat".
  • The file at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\kp32\cfg\startmsg.dat".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\eula.txt".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\help.htm".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\klp32.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\Readme.txt".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\top.jpg".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\uninstal.log".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\Visit ExploreAnywhere Software, LLC Website.url".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro\Visit the Official Keylogger Pro Website.url".
  • A file with an unknown location named "was_ist_dat.rar".
  • A file with an unknown location named "classid1.reg".
  • A file with an unknown location named "klhk.dll".
  • A file with an unknown location named "klwb.dll".
  • A file with an unknown location named "klr.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "kl.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Keylogger-Pro uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\kp32".
  • The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\kp32\cfg".
  • The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\kp32\cfg\8".
  • The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Keylogger Pro".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\ExploreAnywhere\KeyloggerPro".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "ExploreAnywhere" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "Keylogger Pro" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu\Programs\".
  • Delete the registry key "ExploreA" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "ExploreAnywhere" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "1LiveUpdate.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\".
  • Delete the registry key "Trunk32App.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\".
  • Delete the registry value "IEPK" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\".
If Keylogger-Pro uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
