Description:
CliprexDVDPro installs NewDotNet, 180Solutions.SearchAssistant, MyWay.MyWebSearch and NewDotNet is only mentioned in the EULA for CliprexDVDPro while other components are displayed clearly during installation. The functionallity brought by CliprexDVDPro does not compensate for the Adware it brings along. Depending on associate program other software can also be installed. The General Public License (GPL) is also getting violated by Cliprex.

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "Cliprex DVD Player Professional.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Cliprex DVD Player Professional\Cdvd.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

  • Delete the registry key "Cliprex Cdivx Player" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "Cliprex DVD Player Professional" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
If CliprexDVDPro uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
