Supposed Functionality:
Tencent is a company producing some IM products such as QQ.

Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "stup.exe" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\stup.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\Adplus.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\Adplus1.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\scrax.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\SSAddr.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\SSAddr1.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\stdtbh.dat".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus\stup.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Tencent uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TENCENT\Adplus".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Tencent uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "TBH" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tencent\".
  • Delete the registry key "{0C7C23EF-A848-485B-873C-0ED954731014}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{90B1ECB2-FC3B-49AE-A6BD-F5F11BF5C4AD}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{DB8B2393-7A6C-4C76-88CE-6B1F6FF6FFE9}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "TBH" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tencent\".
  • Delete the registry key "{0C7C23EF-A848-485B-873C-0ED954731014}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "TCtrl.TWeb", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "{B1A7C2CF-BF40-4597-8142-7615D74D0CC3}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
If Tencent uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
