Description:
Connects to the internet without userīs permission. Creates systemstart entries and runs in the background and logs your browsing behaviour. Systemstart entries have names like "BrowserUpdateSched" which conceals its true identity.

By installing the Zeno Application, you drant permission for Zeno to periodically display targeted websites, to collect certain information, including the websites you visit and search queries you submit while conneted to the Internet, and to use that information as described herein. [...] it generates logs of your web browsing activity, including webpages you have visited [...]
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named or pointing to "TA_Start.lnk".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\dwdsrngt.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If ZenoSearch uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!
