    Default A defrag question

after spending the better part of the day fighting and removing Vundo, virtumonde and a host of other crap off of my sons computer, I did a
defrag and got a message I've never gotten, "some file could not be defraggmented"
    here is the defrag log:
    Volume (C:)
    Volume size = 74.46 GB
    Cluster size = 4 KB
    Used space = 9.56 GB
    Free space = 64.89 GB
    Percent free space = 87 %

    Volume fragmentation
    Total fragmentation = 0 %
    File fragmentation = 0 %
    Free space fragmentation = 0 %

    File fragmentation
    Total files = 43,113
Average file size = 294 KB
    Total fragmented files = 1
    Total excess fragments = 64
Average fragments per file = 1.00

    Pagefile fragmentation
    Pagefile size = 768 MB
    Total fragments = 1

    Folder fragmentation
    Total folders = 4,773
    Fragmented folders = 1
    Excess folder fragments = 0

    Master File Table (MFT) fragmentation
Total MFT size = 86 MB
    MFT record count = 48,052
    Percent MFT in use = 54 %
    Total MFT fragments = 4

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fragments File Size Files that cannot be defragmented
    None
Is this something to worry about or am I just paranoid after fighting against
the evil empire of malware. :)

I don't think this is something you should worry about at the moment, because defragmentation is just simply defragmenting your drive (making it more organized). When it tells you that some files could not be defragmented, it could mean that it is in use or locked.

If you are using the default Windows Disk Defragmenter, have you told Windows to "Analyze"? And were there a lot of red bars (meaning that there are fragments).

I did the analyze and it said no need to defrag, as for the red bars only a couple and they are just very thin red lines. So I'm not going to worry.
    Thanks drragostea for the reply.

You're welcome. I don't think there is any need to defragment again, since that was done earlier.

    Safe surfing and happy holidays.
