Virtumonde (Reoccuring Infection)
So this morning when I log in to my computer, I notice that Ad-Aware is installed. So I thought to just do a scan since it's already there. But as I go to open it, the desktop just restarts. Explorer.exe, as I notice in Task Manager, disappears when the Desktop restarts, and comes back onto the Processes tab when it's loading. To add insult to injury, this keeps happening every 15-20 seconds or so. After a while if I have the taskbar completely gone. But before it's gone, I scan with Ad-Aware and I find 5 infections, which are Virtumonde. I delete the infections after it's done and continue to do a Full System Scan. It finds 10 infections and I delete them as well. Just to make sure, I run a Smart Scan and it finds 5 Virtumonde infections. Delete, scan, and repeat, there they are again after a second scan.
A friend recommended I'd go to this site, so that's what I did. Here's my Log File thingy.
