Hello! I would really appreciate any help in removing these. I turned off TeaTimer, but I did not run ResetTeaTimer.bat because I couldn't seem to figure out how; I tried clicking on the link in the "Before you post" thing, and I tried right click "save link as," but neither worked. I'm not sure what I'm missing. I ran HJT, though, and my log is below. Thank you!

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.

If you still need help, and you have read and followed the directions, post a new HJT log since it has been five days, and I will take a look. Please describe any symptoms and post any error messages you receive word for word.

Because the directions were not followed, HJT is unsafely located, follow these instructions to fix that:
Download Trend Micro Hijack This™ to your Desktop
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com...HJTInstall.exe
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

Hi! I haven't fixed the problem yet, so I would really appreciate any help you can give me.

When I boot the computer, it pops up with a message from Spyware Guard and another notice cautioning me that my computer may be infected with trojans. I also had to restart my computer the first three times I tried booting it up because everything kept freezing.

Anyway, I uninstalled the HJT which I apparently installed in the wrong place the first time. Unfortunately, after that point, I realized that I have no access to these forums (through safer-networking.org, spybot.com or spybot.info), to bleepingcomputer.com or to trendmicro.com. Probably other sites are blocked, as well, but those are the ones I tried. I'm working off a laptop right now, and I have access to all of those sites through it, so if there's some way I can download the HJT file to this computer and run it the infected computer, I could do that. Incidentally, I'm also having some difficulty running Spybot S&D; I click on the desktop icon, and "SpybotSD.exe" appears in the list of precesses, but no window pops up and nothing happens.

I really don't know what to make of all this, but thank you so much for all of your help so far.

There are infections now that do try to block the tools we use. We will continue with the old HJT log but you will need to download the tools on another computer and bring them to the infected one. Make sure the removable media you use is big enough to hold the tool. combofix is 2.75 MB's in size. Download to the removable media and install it on the DESKTOP and run it, here are instructions.

There is no need to run Spybot just now.

1) Please DO NOT ENABLE Spybot S&D TeaTimer while we work together.

2) A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use

• Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

• Remember to re-enable them when we're done.
  
  
• Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  
• As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  
• Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply along with a New Hijackthis log.

*If there is no internet connection when Combofix has completely finished then restart your computer to restore back the connections.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

I had to restart the computer three times before I was even able to do anything more than close out of the "your computer may have trojans click here now" message before the screen completely froze. The fourth time the computer booted up, things were working until the blue screen flashed on and the computer began restarting by itself. It didn't manage to turn on all the way, though (it never made it to loading windows), so I restarted again, and that time I only had a cursor with no desktop icons or start menu.

After a few more restarts, I got a message from windows stating that "the system has recovered from a serious error." The computer didn't freeze again, though, so I installed MBAM, but I couldn't get it to run. I tried reinstalling it, since there was a slight problem with the installation the first time--the installer stopped responding just before it stated that it was finished--but I couldn't; the installer stopped responding even sooner on subsequent tries than it did on the first. I tried to run another HJT scan, but HJT stopped responding midway through the scan, and I had to end that program, too. I tried restarting the computer again, hoping that might help, but I still couldn't get either MBAM or HJT to run.

And you can thanks the hackers who put the junk on your computer for your difficulties. I can do little from here and suggest you try booting into safe mode and see if you can run either tool there.

I booted the computer in safe mode, but I still couldn't run any of the programs, including the windows malicious software removal tool.

At this point, I suppose I'll have to take the computer in some place and have it looked at. Thanks so much for all of your help, anyway; I really appreciate everything that you and the other volunteers do in this forum.

If you would like to give this a try:

Detect and Delete Other Backdoor.TDSS Files
1) To open the Windows Command Prompt, go to Start > Run > type cmd and then press the "OK" button.
2) Type in "dir /A name_of_the_folder" (for example, C:\Spyware-folder), which will display the folder's content even the hidden files.
3) To change directory, type in "cd name_of_the_folder".
4) Once you have the file you're looking for type in "del name_of_the_file".
5) To delete a file in folder, type in "del name_of_the_file".
6) To delete the entire folder, type in "rmdir /S name_of_the_folder".
7) Select the "Backdoor.TDSS" process and click on the "End Process" button to kill it.
8) Remove (delete) the "Backdoor.TDSS" processes files:

If you see none of those files, then I am wrong about the infection. I apologize, without any information I am guessing this one because I see it so much and because of the symptoms.
If you are successful with this, then restart the computer and try to run combofix or MBAM and see what happens.
