    Hi

    For McAfee problems I recommend reinstallation. Infection may have harmed it's functionality.

    Hi Blade81

    OK, completed the list of things to do. Have re-installed MacAfee.
    All seems fine.
    I haven't tried to boot into Safe Mode (which previously caused the PC to blue screen) and haven't tried a restore point- but then don't think I'll try that.

    All seems to be working fine.



    So many thanks to you and pskelley for your help. I do appreciate it very very much. I reviewed my previous post in March 2008 and noted that it was you Blade81 that helped me then as well; so thanks again.
    By making a donation does it go to the development team/person of Spybot Search & Destroy or do you security experts get some part of it? Are you rewarded in anyway for your great efforts ?

    Donations go to Spybot developing. For me and my colleagues clean system is good reward enough
