STILL have 6 items unimmunized.

It's been months now. Everytime I immunize, it says I have them all, but then when I hit "check again" there's always 6 items not immunized. I read somewhere about a "glitch" that was keeping items from not getting immunized, but for all this time? Something's making me think that its a problem on MY end, not Spybot's. Any ideas? :blush:

I also just had another problem. The same crap that I just "fixed" is right back again. 47 entries, the exact same ones I just thought I got rid of.

If you are running Windows 98, 98SE or ME, it is just a bug in the counting of immunized items and does not affect the actual immunization process.

For the 47 entries,might be best for you to post a log,so tashi or someone can see what isn't being fixed.
Instructions here:

1. # Open SpyBot, check for and get any updates available.
   # Close all browsers, check for problems and fix everything found in red
   # Then on the toolbar menu select mode and switch to advanced mode, on the left lower down select tools, and view report, ensure all the options are selected near the bottom except

   # uncheck[ ] Include a list of services in report.
   # Uncheck[ ] Include uninstall list in report.
   # Now select (near the top) view report.

Those are Firefox tracking cookies.Once in a while,Spybot has trouble removing those,I've experienced that myself in the past.

Yes, I should have stated that Spybot sometimes has issues with Firefox cookies on some systems, not all. I don't think we've ever found a specific reason, though I personally suspect either different Firefox versions or configuration are involved.

You could remove the cookies manually from within Firefox.To do so go to Tools->Options->click the Cookies tab,then click the View Cookies button.
Looking off the Spybot report,scroll through the list to find the tracking cookie(s),then click on the tracking cookie with your mouse,and then click on the remove cookie(s) button.

If you don't have any other cookies you want to save in Firefox,you could click the Remove All Cookies button instead.This would be easiest,but don't do it if you have any cookies you want to keep.

Or,you could try doing another scan with Spybot,and see if it removes the tracking cookies this time(though it might not work,but you could try and see).

Well what I don't understand is that when I run the scan, it shows things like "AdClick" and crap like that. Those aren't tracking cookies are they? I always kinda thought that tracking cookies were pretty benign, are they?

I don't see a adclick in the ignored products list in Spybot,there's a listing for adclicker,which is listed as a trojan.Do you see these things down on the lower left,beside running bot-check,when you're running a scan?
The things in the Search result list part of your report are tracking cookies.

Yes,I,myself consider tracking cookies as a lower level threat,but I also prefer blocking third-party cookies and/or tracking cookies,since that saves me from having to clean up after them all the time.Blocking them saves me the hassle,so I find that easiest.

So is this anything different than I posted before? What I don't understand I guess, is that if they're all tracking cookies, how come they aren't being deleted when I click "fix"?

Hi,no problem.
Those are pretty much the same as you posted before,all Firefox tracking cookies.
I'm not sure why they aren't being deleted when you click fix,sometimes Spybot seems unable to fix Firefox tracking cookies,for some reason.It used to have troubles deleting mine quite awhile back,but now if I ever have a Firefox tracking cookie,it seems to fix them no problem.Once in awhile,I see other people post about Firefox tracking cookies not being deleted,as well.So,perhaps it is different Firefox versions and/or configurations.
If you remove the cookies listed manually,and then block third party cookies within Firefox,you'll probably only rarely see Spybot finding the odd Firefox tracking cookie when you scan.hth.
