    Angry Spy Bot launching problem

OK wanted to launch Spy Bot a while ago, but it simply doesn't start! I reinstalled it but that didn't solve the problem. When I double-click the icon the process SpybotSD.exe shows up, but the program never launches. Any tips?

    Hello,

Which version of Spybot do you run?
Did you also tried to rename the SpybotSD.exe file into something else and try to run it?

    Best regards

I use the latest version and I haven't renamed anything. A week ago it worked fine.

    Hello,

Perhaps you are infected. Please try to rename it and runit then.

OK I renamed the file SpybotSD.exe, but still it doesn't launch . And probably I am infected, cos my Firefox has been acting strange lately. But do you think that the launching problem is virus-related?

    Alekso:

Consider posting in the Malware Removal forum and having someone take a look at your system.

If you decide to have an experienced malware removal specialist assist you, please follow the procedure in this link (excluding the Spybot scan) and produce a HijackThis log:
After you have performed the steps in those instructions, start your own thread in the Malware Removal forum, making sure to post the HijackThis log produced from those instructions.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
