Not sure what the issue is

I am not sure what my issue is. My comp acts like it has malware but MBAM and Spybot don't see it. I have posted a log. My computer boots very slow and runs slow.

I am not seeing any malware, but I do see issues. For starters TeaTimer is still enabled and the "Before you Post" instructions plainly says to disable TeaTimer?

When Spybot-S&D is installed.
TeaTimer needs to be disabled so that its protection does not interfere with fixes.

Start by reading and following all "Before you Post" directions.

How much RAM is installed on this computer, post that information:
Right click MyComputer then click Properties. On the General tab in the lower right corner is the RAM, post that information.

Let's do some cleaning:

For your information, Viewpoint is installed by aol probably without your knowledge. I suggest you uninstall this resource waster in Add Remove programs.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

No need to download MBAM again if you still have it, but make sure you update first and follow the instructions exactly.
5) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.

(there is no need to post a clean MBAM scan resut)

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

6) Post also an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

My computer has 1.0 gig of RAM. My apologies for the Tea TImer I read the instructions and must have missed that portion. I did disable prior to starting on the below items.

Item 1- Done as instructed with no issues

Item 2- Done without issue

Item 3- Done however, item 018 Filter hijack: text/html ..... will not fix. I did as instructed and when I ran the new log it is still there.

Item 4- Done with no issues

Item 5- Done and MBAM found no problems so I will not post log

As you start looking at what does not need to run in MCConfig, here is a tip. Do not turn off any security programs and any other program can be started when you need it via Start > All Programs.

For instance on this computer I start: antivirus, firewall, Windows Live Messenger (I use it each time) and SpywareGuard (realtime protection for registry) and that is it.

Thanks for the help. The computer is running slightly faster and I will look in my MSconfig file.

I tried to fix that item in the HJT again and still no go. It returned. I uninstalled the HJT program and reinstalled and same result.

I will get those other programs out of there.
