Default Persistent Popups -- Please Help

Something has a hold of my Internet Connection! When I launch IE7 and go to a site (Google), a variety of IEs open with a variety of advertisements. I ran Spybot, Adaware, ran a full scan with my antivirus and, while both Spybot and Adaware found stuff and cleaned it, the popups kept coming. Re-ran Spybot and Adaware (both in standard and safe modes) and the popups keep on coming.

I have an XP machine and ran Hijackthis. Below is my log file. I truly appreciate whatever help you can be.

    Hello gsjanes,

    Welcome to Safer Networking.

    Please read Before You Post
That said, All advice given by anyone volunteering here, is taken at your own risk.
While best efforts are made to assist in removing infections safely, unexpected stuff can happen.

Please read Post # 5 in Before You Post as this appears to be a corporate computer, we just fix computers for home users. Working on a company computer can open up a bag of worms legally, you need to contact your IT Department for help.

    Default Small Company

I am in contact with my IT department. We are a small company and my IT department is a one-person shop. I have explained to her what I am doing and she has agreed that I should proceed. Please help. I have a presentation on Tuesday and I need to get this fixed. I appreciate anything you can do. Thanks!

    Hello,

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows including this one, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = about:blank

    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: xmlleh.dll

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
    • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
    • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.<-- Don't forget this
    • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
    • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
    • Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a New Hijackthis log.

    gsjanes,

    You posted here
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic198221.html

With the amount of people posting with infected computers in all the forums ( 1000s each day ) we can not afford to have more than one forum and one helper assisting you, it would not be fair for someone else waiting for help.

I posted at the Spybot forum, but the response was slow and when they could respond, they commented that this was a company computer. It is a company computer. It is a small company and my IT department is one person
The reason for the wait is because when you posted there where approximately 200 posters inline ahead of you

As far a being told it was a company computer, right above where you posted your HJT log for help there are stickies with instructions, Before You Post is put there for a reason. If you would have read it and saw the instructions for company computers and gave me that information first , we could have cut to the chase and you would be clean and on your way now, but you did not.

Your in good hands with miekiemoes

Since your being helped there this thread is closed.
