Virtumonde

Hello,

This is my first time posting on these help forums but I have been a long time user of Spybot: S&D. Unfortunately I have found that Virtumonde made it's way onto my computer as it appears many people have encountered this also. I found virtumonde before and used a system wipe to restore the computer back to factory specs. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of my college semester and can't afford the time to back up data, wipe the system and start re-installing certain programs which are needed for IT classes.

Any help to find a way of removing the virus/spyware without system wiping would be greatly appreciated.

hi Dthamertx,

we will get a download to use. Its called combofix. There is a guide you need to read first which will explain what you need to do and know. dont forget to disable your AV and anti-malware apps before you run combofix. A reboot of the computer and they will be "re-started" Post the combofix log in your reply:
