    Default Intermediary Update detection 2006-05-15

    Hello,

    Spybot indicate "Intermediary Update detection 2006-05-15"

    Before updating Spybot shows 41,095 check (threats )and after this update ("Intermediary Update detection 2006-05-15" ) Spybot shows 41,094 checks.

    What does mean " Intermediary update" ?

    Was this update needed to correct a false/positive ?

    Thank you


    (My system is Windows XP Sp2 Home edition and am running Spybot S&D 1.4

    Update:

    Fixed a possible false positive with only a few software installers, which might happen under rare circumstances.

    Available using the integrated updater.


    Manual update:
    Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.

    Question: My detections only are 38495. Is that a problem?

    Your scan count of 38495 is correct for scans without "Usage tracks" after the 2006-05-15 update.

    JRoch's scan count of 41094 is for a scan with the optional "Usage tracks" scan.
