I may have screwed up my Spybot installation. Internet Explorer doesn't work.

I think that a while back I hit the wrong button when Spybot popped up while using IE, and that must have tagged it as evil software (ironic, huh?) because IE hasn't worked since.

I searched for a solution a few times over a period of months but didn't find anything. (It was a while ago and I don't like IE anyway, so I didn't really miss it. I happily use several other browsers.)

Now I have to use IE for a site my boss wants me to access (on my home PC that is, so there's no help desk) and don't know what to do. The most recent entry on Spybot's recovery screen is more than a year ago, and I don't think it's been that long.

I uninstalled and reinstalled IE 7 last year -- didn't help. Not that I expected it to.

But if I completely uninstall and reinstall Spybot (1.6.0.31), I expect that I'll be unprotected, and won't know what to allow and what to reject when reinstalling.

Suggestions on fixing this? (Please excuse long post, but I wanted to mention everything relevant.)

Thanks!
