some kind of malware not letting me install

hey all,

to make my story as short as possible I believe I have some kind of malware on my computer. It crashed today twice but for some reason it seems back to normal, however when I tried to download and install spybot s&d as well as ad aware it would not let me do so. After cleaning up my hard drive, however, i was able to run and scan in ad aware.

heres the problem, i would rather use spybot but when i try to run/install i get his error

Error: "The server name or address could not be resolved":

any help?

Hello,

During the installation Spybot tries to download the updates.
You can disable this function in the wizard itself.
Just untick the checkbox in front of "download updates during installation" or "Download Updates immediately".
The updates can be downloaded later on.
