    Default ActiveX

    Hi,
I noticed that microsoft had not been updated on my laptop, so I thought it would be a good idea to do it now. However, when it asked about ActiveX, I refused to allow it to operate. I quickly realized my mistake because microsoft would not update, but now I do not know how to fix it. I have tried 3 times to update and the page will come up as if it is starting, but nothing ever happens and it no longer asks about ActiveX. My computer has Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 2. Please keep your response as simple as possible...I work better with trucks than computers.
    Thanks,
    Earl

If you havent had any success yet at Windows Update you might try turning the auto update feature on, if its not on.
    Start>Settings>Control Panel>Automatic Updates:
    Select Automatic
    Pick a day and time
    click apply then ok
