Thumbs down AVG "free" Blocks Immunization...

I just rebuilt the machine, and as usual I installed S&D first applied the immunizations and then install AV product,
    this time I tried AVG

when I retrieved the last S&D update and attempted to update the immunizations
from within an admin. account the Guest account immunizations were blocked
AVG "free" Blocks Immunization of items in IE of Guest account only
all others are allowed to pass through.

    not that I'd use IE
I only used it to configure the NAT IPS Firewall Router before I reconnected the machine

even when I "Disabled" AVG the immunization still failed,

I use the Guest account access to do the online stuff, as it's the most restricted account
but with less immunizations I would be slightly more than irritated if something got through.

is there any way to force it,
or can I manually modify the items with the updated immunizations from my admin account,

    system:
    HP/Compaq 6330ca
    P4 @ 2GHz
    1GB DDR
    40GB C:\ {partition}
    4GB E:\ {partition} (moved swap / page file here)

    XP SP2 & all updates (except SP3 & IE7)
took 6 hours to retrieve all available updates

    Firefox (latest)

    hello,
    thank you for your reply,

    I actually started in there
    "Reasons for incomplete immunizations"

and the link referring to Spybot & AVG goes to a single entry

    "TeaTimer unable to shutdown."

which isn't my problem as the system is too old to support
Teatimer running without making it take "forever" to do anything
    it makes my 486sx 25MHz w/ win95 look fast

    Hi Matt,

    when I go through to
    "Teatimer unable to shut down"

there is only one link in the 5th post
and it's linked to a thread talking about some registry entries

    Hi Richard FDisk,

I've looked a little bit for more information and found only that here:

See my post (link) below in the main Spybot forum. It has a link to a thread in the AVG v8 free forum. If you look at the moderator's post you will see that he doesn't see the registry entries being picked up by AVG as false positives, although it is acknowledged that they are immunisations placed there by SpybotSD and also by Spyware Blaster rather than true entries from the items they are intended to protect against.

I still haven't had a reply from AVG and I don't expect this to be resolved in a short time. That and other considerations about the new version have lead me to abandon AVG version 8 for the time being and return to the 7.5.524 version.

This subject is now spread across a number of threads and it getting a bit messy to follow. Would perhaps be nice if it could be shifted into one place.
    Best regards - Beste Grüße,

    Matt
