Thread: Novice in need of SERIOUS help! Can't even open browsers.

    Yes, after reboot everything seemed to be back to normal and I was able to run Kaspersky. It found one item on a secondary hard drive that I only use for extra storage. I plan to re-format and run a disk wiping program (Eraser) on the drive. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks for your help and patience. I appreciate it!

    You don't have to wipe the disk if the purpose of it would be only to get rid of that Kaspersky finding.

    Delete items in F:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine folder.

    Reboot and post a fresh hjt log. How's the system running?
