can't update mcafee, avg, etc.

Let's look at this first:

Start > Control Panel > Security Center > let me know if all three items are Green and ON

hi, yup, all three are green and on...

not sure what to do now...although, she is able to go to mcafee and others sites with no problem...

Go ahead and have MBAM "fix" those items. Let me know about any malware issues at that point.

Everything seems A-OK!! Thank you so much, there don't seem to be any more issues that either mcafee or malwarebytes found, but if something else happens, I will post here immediately since this seems to be the best site around for these types of issues!!
