    Exclamation Registry holds bad Sites

When I went through my registry in :

    HKEY_USERS > .DEFAULT > Software > Windows > CurrentVersion > Internet Settings > Zone Map

I found a listing of about hundred bad pages. I do not visit badpages or gaming sites. Also I donot have parental control activated so that this can't be a list of badpages to be blocked. Even McAfee parent control is off.

The McAffe software came with my laptop by ACER. It's genuine.

I have SpybotSD and McAfee installed in my laptopr,But neither Spybot nor McAfee picked up anything !

Please help me ! . I can send a copy of my registry if needed.

Default I think you got the path wrong

The path on my Vista and XP Pro OS is below and I have the same thing in both the Domains and EscDomains on both computers. I think these are default settings from Microsoft.

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\EscDomains

    Default

    tharaka.rajaguru:

If the bad sites are coded like this (dword=4):

    Code:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\007guard.com]
    *=dword:00000004
Then the sites are being placed in the Restricted Sites zone by Spybot's immunization.

    jfsm2000:

    The following two registry keys:

    Code:
    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\EscDomains
Are where the following two immunization items are stored:

    Internet Explorer (32/64 bit)

    .DEFAULT (Domains)
    .DEFAULT (Secure Domains)
