Default I think school computers are dangerous

I am a little worried that I may get a virus from school. The Antivirus is extremely out of date and there are people always trying to use proxy sites to get past the blocks and they play on game sites all the time. I feel that I could get my computer at home infected. I have used Panda USB and AutoRun Vaccine on my Flashdrive and scan at home but I just wonder is that all I can do? All I can think of is to scan my flash drive whenever I can. Is that good enough?

    Hello Bithpq,

    Did you reformat?
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=48091&page=4

    2) Very easily via :- usb drives,
It's nearly two weeks since I told you that a reformat was needed.
By now I suspect that almost all your system files are infected.
Every file that you move will be prone to infection.

Virut is vicious, it really isn't worth taking the risk of transferring any files that may be infected.
    Regards.

    That doesn't answer my question.

    Hi there,

Did you previously transfer anything on that infected computer to a USB which you then used at the school?

    Best regards.

NO I didn't. The flash drive that I use never goes into the infected computer(s) before a scan.

    Sounds like a plan.

Perhaps a good idea not to use the usb that has been inserted into the school computer/s on all of them, just in case.

    Cheers.
