    Unhappy Help with TR/ATRAPS.Gen' [trojan]

I'm sure you have already been asked and answered this type of question...
I use Spybot and have had no issues. I also used AVG, but since the free version is no longer updated, I have removed it. Again, I never had any issues. I recently installed Avira Antivir. I ran a scan and this came up:
    The file 'C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\DVD MovieFactory for TOSHIBA\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\mfSimulationService.dll'
contained a virus or unwanted program 'TR/ATRAPS.Gen' [trojan]
    Action(s) taken:
The file was moved to '4a57f5a2.qua'!
I'm not good with computers, nor at donwloading "fixes" or extraneous files.
Is there an easy "tool" to help me find and remove this trojan/malware.
Thank you for any information or assistance you may offer.
    I have a Toshiba laptop: Satellite A135-S4467
    160GB

    Hello Seattle_man,

Perhaps a false positive by AntiVir, see this translation on the subject at a french site.

    Hi Seattle_man,

    to SaferNetworking Forums.

    The file path
    C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\DVD MovieFactory for TOSHIBA\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\mfSimulationService.dll
tells me that it is a false positive from Avira's AntiVir.

I've read it in this german subforum at Avira. You can restore this file... therefore, go to the quarantine from AntiVir and restore this file... perhaps it is better to disable AntiVir's Guard during this restoration.
    Best regards - Beste Grüße,

    Matt

Thank you for your advice and assitance.
Since nevr had any problems before, I shall just leave it in the quarantine section. Just a note..Avira had found 2 instances on the same day of this "malware".
The last scan I did, last Wednesday, found no issues.
    Thanks again.
