Spybot Hanging/Crashing/Rebooting/Powering off

I insist (from a junior member ) this is turned into a 'sticky'!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I have had this problem for months, and the following, simple solution, ended my problems: -

Clean out the heat sink, ventilators and fans, thoroughly,; in fact, give your PC the most basic preventative maintenance treatment, cleaning, and it, hopefully, will work for you. Clean it completely with compressed air, not the butane/propane rubbish, and you will be amazed at how much dust and crap comes out!!!!!!!!!!!

It will, in a lot of cases, turn out true, but not always.
