Smile WIn XP System in a reboot loop

I had a fake Malware detection and while it was being fixed the system rebooted and now I can see the Windows XP bootup screen for a second then it goes black and reboots. I selected all options, Safe mode, back to previous working but nothing works it just keeps rebooting.
I'm trying not to reformat as I need a few documents.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in Advance,
    John

    Post Using webroot

    Hi,
I was using webroot. I thought something did not look right because just before it rebooted several dos boxes popped opened quickly. So quick I could not see what they were.
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi John Coyle,

As the looping apprantly started after running Webroot to remove an infection you might try the program's Desktop Support

If you cannot find a resolution there you could post your question in our Malware Removal Forum
