There are signs of both Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

So that driver is related to one of them and nothing to worry about

oh ok then, any idea as to why my computer keeps randomly turning itself off? it started a while back when my friend tried to start up a game and then my graphics card died, i got a new one but has been randomly crashing ever since :( this computer is rather old so it may just be that the motherboard is worn out :(. thanks for the help with the rootkits I thought they might be the cause for my computer's strange behaviour.

    That indicates hardware issue.

I'd guess that is has something to do with your new graphics card. Have you checked its temperature?

I've got to be honest that i'm not too good with the hardware side of things, it was only 6 months ago that i actually realised to install my motherboard, somehow it was working for years without it. how would i check the temperature? Thanks.

p.s. I removed daemon tools and alcohol 120 and AVG is no longer detecting any rootkits

    thanks again.

    Everest should help.

Those are not rootkits though they are hidden. No need to uninstall those programs.

Well i never used those programs anyway, so thought i might as well get rid of them. According to everest my GPU temp is 52*C and GPU ambient is 45*C. Hmmm could the fact that the north bridge is nVidia nForce4 but is being used by an ATI radeon X850 Pro cause some problems? Thanks, this hardware stuff is so confusing :(

    Those are fine.

What does it say about CPU temperature?

The CPU temperature is 32 to 33*C. Sometimes when my computer randomly turns itself off, when I turn it back on again there's a windows message that says something about a power failure, could the voltage of the cpu be wrong? Thanks

Yes or some other hardware issue.

Is it OK to redirect you to some windows forum?
