When I tried to run the combofix its complaining that I am running AVG and Norton AV. However, I don't see them in the task manager running, Is it ok to continue?

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:

    Code:
    File::
    c:\windows\system32\lvci11901262.dll
Save this as Save this as "CFScript"

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe

Then post the results log and a new HijackThis log.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following,
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://ie.redirect.hp.com/svs/rdr?TY...rm1=seconduser
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = about:blank
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/...ch/search.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/.../www.yahoo.com
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {500BCA15-57A7-4eaf-8143-8C619470B13D} - (no file)

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Ran the HijackThis as you said. So you think all malware issues are cleaned up?

Yes There is one thing I'd like you to try.

    1.) Download WinsockFix.zip. (by: Option^Explicit)
2.) UnZip WinsockFix.zip (Pay close attention to where the file is extracted to.)
    3.) Run WinsockFix.exe.
    4.) Click the Fix button.

This program will clean up your TCP/IP connection and rebuild the database.
After the program is complete, reboot and let me know if you can connect to the internet.

Tried the winsock.exe, that didn't fix the problem. Still can't connect. I've opened a thread in whatthetech.com as you suggested. Waiting for a volunteer to respond to my thread.
