    Default Password Stealing Virus

I believe I was attacked by iStealer as none of my anti virus can pick up how I got some of my passwords stolen. Can someone help me get rid of and tell me how to prevent this from happening. I have Mcaffee and never even got a intruder alert, yet somehow my firefox passwords got stolen. A few questions.

1.) How can i prevent this? These programs connect to ftp to give them my passwords why didn't Mcaffee pick this up?

2.) Will adding a master password to firefox prevent them from stealing my passwords or will their programs still be able to steal them.

3.) Any advice you may wish to give on keeping my passwords safe. I have passwords for everything and I really do wish I wouldn't have to stop saving my passwords in firefox as thats a really convenient feature.

I might have gotten rid of the virus and left the topic. Am I suppose to close it myself or something?

Towards the end of a cleanup please make sure you follow through with any final log requested, even if it appears to you that your computer is back to normal operation.
As much as we like our members we would rather not see you back in a few weeks because there was no follow up with the helper. Also when asked to post back one more time please do so.

Our volunteer helpers appreciate your letting them know if they have helped.

Ahhh ok, I'll be sure to do that this time. However this is a completely different virus I have picked up than those others. I just got this one yesterday...

    Hello Virus Hater,

Would be a good idea to read this forum's stickied FAQS as they appear to have been missed during previous visits.

    C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2\pg2.exe

You and Windows, a joint effort regarding P2P.

    This topic is closed.
