    Default SBS&D found the Virtumonde.sdn

    Hi,,and in advance, thank you for this site AND your time.

    I have done as the forum has asked and run the programs.
    As with most of the posts I am as well having problems removing the trojan with SB S&D. I have as well run the SB as an administrator 'Purge selected items' and the "Virtumonde.sdn" keeps showing up on subsequent scans.

    Donation AND beers forthcoming;

    MichaelT

    Having read the posts further, this is what I did;

    #1) Deactivated resident "TeaTimer" protection.
    #2) Restart PC,
    #3) SB S&D starts, runs, finds Virtumonde.sdn
    #4) "FIX" selected problem", "Purge selected item"
    #5) Reactivate "TeaTimer"
    #6) Scan again
    #7) "No Immediate Threats Found"

    Am I clean now?

    I as well have Lojack for laptops installed. From one of the posts I understand that this could give me a false positive.

    Just checked with LoJack and my PC has NOT made a call in AND now can not do a test call. So I've wiped out my LoJack program. I have also leaned from one of the posts that SB S&D can exclude the program in subsequent searches. This still does not resolve the extremely slow INTERNET start up that I was experiencing (1/2Hr +).

    Posting additional comments or logs before a volunteer responds, can push you back instead of forward, because your thread ends up with a newer date. In addition helpers would think you are already being assisted because of the post count. For that reason we may merge such posts if there is time but please do not count on it.
