Trouble Uninstalling SpyBot

I have an old version of SpyBot 1.4.0.3. Windows Remove Program does not work because the version of unins000.dat is more recent.
The SpyBot uninstaller does not work for the same reason.
What can I do?

According to this list, I haven't heard of a Spybot version 1.4.0.3 .... Please open Spybot > Choose Help > About and check your version number... ... perhaps I can learn here something.

Well, you can try to download Spybot 1.4 from filehippo.com, install it and then uninstall Spybot 1.4 but I can't guarantee to you that this will work. It's only a spontaneous thought... Moreover, you can try the same with a newer version of Spybot.

Please be sure that Spybot is always up to date, now Spybot 1.6.2 is already released since January 2009.

Version 1.4.0.[3] is most likely the same as Spybot-Search&Destroy 1.4...

Download v.1.4 to replace the uninstaller... then proceed to uninstall the older version and upgrade to the latest version (1.6.2).
