Default Tea Timer Allow, deny does not show fully

    Hi

I tried Teatimer and I had some changes to either allow or deny come up.
The pop up for this did not completely show: The allow and deny buttons only showed the top of the button and could not read what is in the buttons.

Would a uninstall and reinstall have to be done to fix this problem.
I am on dial up and it does take awhile even for a normal update.

    Cheers

    Hello,

This is a little bug in version 1.4: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/news/2005-06-22.html
We have already been able to locate and fix it. The fix will be downloadable with our next program upgrade. We hope that it will be available soon.
As a current solution you can work with your keyboard. Use the cursor keys to switch between the buttons ("Allow" is on the left, "Deny" on the right) and the space key to enter your selection. You can also press "A" on your keyboard for "Allow change" or "D" for "Deny change". The Checkbox for "Remember this decision" will work correctly in spite of the graphical issue. If you don't like to use the above workarounds you can disable TeaTimer as follows:
    - Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > Resident.
    - Uncheck the following: Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.
For more information please have a look here:
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=44
And you'll find a little workaround here:

Hi, just a note about this issue. I followed the recommendation to change the value per the sticky http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=122
While it helped just a little...that is it allowed me to see the accept/decline buttons...it did NOT allow me to see all the printed info about what I am supposed to be accepting or denying. I do have large fonts enabled (120%)...so I thought perhaps that was the problem with the buttons until I read the sticky note.

Is it possible to change the text size from within that ResHack prog to allow folks to be able to read all the details before accepting or denying or am I going to have to go without teatimer resident in order to use the large fonts?

Hi. I read the latest update had fixed this. I just downloaded what I thought was the new version version 1.4 and do not see any difference in TeaTimer.
Here is what I still see:

Is this the new update you were referring to?

    Thanks, Bob

    Hello.

The teatimer GUI bug is in Spybot-S&D version 1.4, we now have a beta as shown here:
Announcing betas: TeaTimer / Scan engine / Vista integration
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=9474

The teatimer beta fixes the problem, so if you are comfortable with beta testing you can download it as discussed in that topic.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. I found the ResHacker thread and think I fixed it myself. Seems awfully simple a fix to have it stay a problem so for long, but that's life.

Actually that patch may be simple but a permanent fix was not.
