    Default Spybot detecting MBAM as malware.

    An OP stated that they had Spybot Search & Destroy and that it is detecting Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware as DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer.

    They said that while downloading and starting Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot Search & Destroy kicked in with the following message:

    Spybot Search & Destroy has encountered and terminated a process that is listed as part of a malicious software.
    Process ID: 3344
    Filename: mbamgui.exe
    Found in: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    Identified as: DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer
    If Spybot encounters this process again...
    * Inform me again.
    * Automatically kill this process.
    * Allow this process to run (NOT RECOMMENDED).
    []Delete the associated file.

    Here is the OP's system information:

    Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600.3.1252.1.1033.18.638.230

    hello,

    such a false positive should not occur since we added Malwarebytes digital signature to our white list.
    Users should make sure to have Spybot S&D fully updated and reboot the computer after the update.
    born in the shadow to die in the shadow, that is the fate of the shinobi
