    Default Spybot won't start

All my anti-virus programs quit working. I was unable to reach their websites too.

I click on the Spybot icon, I get the hourglass cursor for a second and then nothing happens

I ran ERUNT as requested and saved the registry.

I downloaded and installed HiJackThis but it won't run either. Same results as above.

    Can you help?

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

You must have read and followed the "Before you Post" instructions.

These rootkit infections that block the tools are all over just now. You need not expect this to be fast or easy, since the infection constantly changes, there is no "exact way" to remove it.

Let's try to get a HJT log first, follow these directions:
Download Trend Micro Hijack This™ to your Desktop
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com...HJTInstall.exe

Make sure to "save the file" to the Desktop but before you save it, change the File name to DWM01.exe. Now Save it and see if it will run.

Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

If you get this far then use HJT to post an uninstall list also.
Post also an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
    Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
