Can't Remove Email-Worm.Win32.Mydoom.l

I have a PC that Kaspersky Online Scanner reports to have Email-Worm.Win32.Mydoom.l - however, when I boot in safe mode and run Symantec's 'fxmydoom.exe' it doesn't detect anything. AVG Free 8.5 and Spybot S&D also don't locate it. Below are the HJT and Kaspersky Logs:

If you still want help, my first question would be did you delete that infected file? If not let's start like this:
\Documents and Settings\BrigitM\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst <<< infected

1) Read the "Before you Post" directions again, then disable TeaTimer as plainly instructed.

We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)

including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom—and helps remove any infection found

Read the directions then download and run the tool

When the detection and removal process is complete, the tool displays a report describing the outcome, including which, if any, malicious software was detected and removed.

Post that report

3) Post also an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Sorry about Spybot - have disabled and rebooted.

I have not deleted the infected Outlook.pst.

I downloaded and ran MSRT, full scan, it did not detect any malicious software (and also did not post an output log, perhaps because it found no malicious activity???)

Please follow the directions carefully amd in the numbered order.

1) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

2) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

3) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

(since you have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware , no need to download again, but make sure you update tp at least: Version 1.40 Database 2560 8/4/2009 then run it as instructed)

4) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

Use HJT to remove this item:

Those are all cookies, run Kaspersky Online scan again using these directions. No need to download the program if you still have it.

Do an online scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner (KOS)

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

1. Note: If you are using Windows Vista, open your browser by right-clicking on its icon and select 'Run as administrator' to perform this scan.
2. Click on the Accept button and install any components it needs.
3. The program will install and then begin downloading the latest definition files.
4. After the files have been downloaded on the left side of the page in the Scan section select My Computer
5. This will start the program and scan your system.
6. The scan will take a while, so be patient and let it run.
7. Once the scan is complete, click on View scan report
8. Now, click on the Save Report as button.
9. Save the file to your desktop.
10. Copy and paste that information in your next post

If KOS locates infected files, navigate to them and delete them. Let's me know about anything you could not delete.

Thanks - running Kaspersky now... the problem is, the file that previously showed the infection is an Outlook.pst containing info from that last 5 years! Do you have any info on how to disinfect it, or transfer all the data across to a new, non-infected file? Appreciate all this help!
