    Default False Positive-Eblaster- vbcards.dll

I recieved what i believe to be a false positive for the eblaster.

It claims vbcards.dll is eblaster. My winntsystem32 folder does not have the 2 files eblaster is supposed to create there.

vbcards.dll is a windows dll that has something to do with the card backs on freecell among other unknown chores.

I have searched and i did not find any matches to anyone mentioning this dll file so i thought i should post.

New here so i don't know what info i should post.

The F.P. came after a full scan. When i right click the file and scan it , Spybot discovers nothing.

It only happens on a full scan, which i have run 3 and it pops up every time.

vbcards.dll is 176kbs although i have seen where it has different file sizes(pehaps when card backs are created?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Okay, i found the sticky thread.

Here is more of the info.

    Windows2000

    IE6.0

    SpybotVersion 1.6.2.0

I'm not exactly sure when my last update was but it was 2-3 days ago. The latest update as of today.

False positive occurred when i ran a full scan.

Thank you for your fast response and help throughout. I'll wait for the new update before i run another scan. I'm very happy it was a false positive and that I don't have a spyware.

Thank you for keeping Spybot free for those of us who are struggling right now! It is very much appreciated!

I just got the newsest update, ran a scan, and it came up clean. Thanks for fixing this so fast! Amazing, people who care. It's hard to find that today.

Well, i guess this is it for me on the forums. I doubt that i will find another FP.

Great experience here. 2 thumbs up! Or whatever you say in germany.

    Have a great day.
