Default Runtime error 217 at 00429733

For the past week I have been getting this runtime error whenever I start my computer. I hoped it would fix itself!
Windows Error Reporting given me this information:

"Address a problem with Spybot - Search & Destroy

Spybot - Search & Destroy has stopped working properly.
Support for this product is community-based, providing solutions to common problems through an online user forum. Typically, this type of support lets you search the postings of other users for solutions, or ask the group a question if a solution to your problem is not immediately available."

And they then provided a link to this forum.

I have done an upgrade a couple of days ago an am now running version 1.6.2. The error occurred prior to this also.

I don't know what a runtime error is?
I'm not sure what to do here. I've noticed there is a Runtime error 216 post but I figure mine is different.

Should I uninsall and then reinstall. Is it a problem my end or Spybot's end?

    Suggestions?
    Thanks

Have you tried uninstall and reinstalling Spybot-Search&Destroy?

Default Runtime error 216 at 070940C2

    I have a two-month-old computer that came with Spybot S&D vs. 1.6.2.0

For the past couple of weeks, when SB finishes doing its check, I get the following memory error followed by "Runtime error 216 at 070940C2"

    Title: SpybotSD.exe - Application Error
"The instruction at "0x070940c2" referenced memory at "0x0733e018". The memory could not be read.

Is there some way to troubleshoot this, or can I just ignore?

If you read through the thread above (and yes I know it's getting long, but there's a reason for that!) you might get some ideas or be able to contribute.

    You're not alone.
    Good Luck.
