Could it possibly be some kind of malware infection?
Can you give me a count of how many processes are running on your machine, via the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete)?

    Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune:

Check all of boxes and there should be some kind of "Clear all" or "Empty" button on the bottom that executes the cleaning. This will clear your Temp. files, cookies, and cache.
